The Bundesverband Deutsches Ei e.V. (German Egg Association, BDE) was founded in 2001 as an independent association. The BDE grew out of the specialist activities pertaining to egg production and marketing within the ZDG.
The BDE‘s goals are the coordination and representation of all profession-related interests of those involved in or with an interest in egg production and marketing in Germany, in respect of public, government and political bodies both within the country and overseas, but in particular European institutions.

The official mouthpiece of the Zentralverband der Deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft e.V. (ZDG) is the magazine for the poultry industry and the pig rearing sector.
When the ZMP stopped reporting, the publisher, Ulmer Verlag, took the initiative and established a service division in order to fill the gap and continue reporting on the egg and poultry sectors.
